Celeste “Estee” Hoyle-Purdue, 60, was born December 5th, 1963 and passed away unexpectedly on May 30th, 2024.
Mourning the loss of such an amazing person is Stacey Hoyle-Purdue, her life partner of 30 years; mother, Catherine Purdue; sister, Mary “Cay” (Redric) Robertson; children, Brandon (Mindi) Thomas and Brooke (Dylan) Lohrey, who she raised and loved as her own; grandchildren, Mackenzee Branscum, Addison Lohrey, and Kaidin Thomas and great-grandchild Blake Branscum, who were her world; nephews, Ryan Brown and Ian (Alissa) Schlabach; niece, Bridget Purdue, their families, and her fur babies (Rocco, Leks and Dudley) who she loved deeply.
She is proceeded in death by her father, Rufus Purdue; brother, Curtis Purdue and sister, Colleen Purdue Schlabach.
Estee was a graduate of Shenandoah High School Class of 1982. Currently working at the Middletown Nursing Home for the past 10 years, where she managed the kitchen. Estee was a proud member of the Slap a Hoe Ya-Ya Sisterhood. She loved her family and helped raise her niece and nephews as her own.
Estee was a strong independent woman. She could figure out any problem with her redneck engineering. Estee always helped when she could and would give the shirt off her back if you needed it!! She was protective of anyone she considered family or friends and she held on to them tightly.
We want to thank the Middletown Nursing Home staff for all the care and love they showed her over the years. You were family to her.
The family will have a celebration of life party at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Ballard and Sons Funeral Home.
