Francis Howard Brooks

Francis H. Brooks, 72 of Muncie, Indiana passed away from health complications after a long difficult battle on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 caused by AGENT ORANGE DIOXIDE POISON EXPOSURE during his honorable service as a Sergeant in the U. S. Army, during the Vietnam War. He was a graduate of Muncie Central High School and Ivy Tech.  Francis was a retired skill trades electrician at Chevrolet Muncie Transmission New Venture Gear.

Francis was preceded in death by his beloved, recently belated wife, Peggy A. Brooks of 52 years who passed away in 2021.  She was his everything, being his sweetheart since they were teenagers.  They loved sharing their lives together going cruising in cool cars, boating at the lakes, traveling, enjoyed camping while usually cooking BBQ ribs over an open camp fire.  While his most favorite thing in life was to go fishing out on the lakes in northern Indiana, where they romantically met as teenagers.

Francis and Peggy Brooks are both survived by their only son, Rich Brooks of Muncie.

Francis will be remembered as being such a good man, told so by many during his life, and will be greatly missed by all of those that love him.

Farewell our brave hero soldier, you were the best amongst us all. You fought such a courageous battle, a war after the war, now Heaven opens up to you, returning to wife's embrace, a much deserved welcome home.
