Gregory Ozbun was born Sunday, October 2, 1960, in Muncie, Indiana, the son of Virgil and Martha (Osborne) Ozbun. He embraced life with a love for the outdoors, finding solace and joy in gardening, raising animals, and stewarding nature. Guided by his unwavering faith, Gregory exemplified the virtues of Christianity, leading his family with grace, compassion, and wisdom. With his father's help, he built a log cabin on a beautiful property next to the woods and alongside a creek, where he happily raised his children surrounded by nature's wonders. His warm spirit, sense of humor, and genuine kindness endeared him to all who knew him, and he effortlessly made friends wherever he went. A diligent worker, he found strength in discipline, both in his passion for weightlifting and his dedication to serving others, notably through his volunteer work with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Delaware County. Gregory's legacy of love, faith, and service will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of sharing in his journey.
Survivors include his wife of thirty-eight years, Melanie (Getz) Ozbun; children, Stuart Ozbun, Spencer Ozbun (wife Kristen), and Sydney Ozbun; three grandchildren, Hugh Ozbun, Eve Ozbun, and Vera Ozbun; sister, Janet Davis; and his beloved dog, Freckles.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, Daleville, IN.
