It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jacqueline "Jackie" Kay Blevins on Thursday, December 28, 2023, after a brief illness. Jackie was a loving daughter, sister, partner, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
One of Jackie's greatest joys in life was the love she had for her family. She cherished each moment spent with them and always made sure to nurture those connections. Alongside her long-term partner Brian Edwards, Jackie created a loving and supportive home.
In addition to her love for family, Jackie had a deep affection for animals, with a special bond with her beloved dog, Scooby-Doo. She had a compassionate heart and never turned away any animal in need.
Jackie was also known for her creative spirit and love for crafting. Sewing was one of her passions, and she spent countless hours creating beautiful items for her home and family. Her attention to detail and love for her craft was evident in every piece she made.
Jackie graduated from Frankton High School and remained in the area until her passing. She loved her community. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her father and stepmother, Virgil and Brenda Blevins; sister, Annette (Blevins) Patchett; two nephews, Elijah Patchett and Xander Patchett; stepsisters, Kierston Sumner and Megan Sizelove; stepbrother, Andrew Sumner; special aunt, Ramona Bader; dear friend and cousin Robin Bader. Jackie also leaves behind several aunts, uncles, and cousins who she held dear to her heart.
Jackie was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Lucille Shelton Blevins; her niece, Lucy Ann Patchett; along with her grandparents from both sides of the family, Stanley and Sylvia Shelton, and William and Margaret Blevins, as well as several aunts and uncles. Despite the pain of these losses, Jackie remained strong and dedicated to her family.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home in Middletown, IN from 2 pm to 3pm with memorial service following visitation.
