James Alvey Stout Jr.

James Alvey Stout Jr. went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 22,2026, at home with his family by his side as he went to his forever home.

James was Born on September 13, 1951, to James and Hazel Stout Sr. in Muncie, IN. He graduated in 1969 from Muncie Central. He was a very hard-working man that supported his family for many years working in factories and foundries. He attended Westside Baptist Church. He loved going fishing with his granddaughter while she grew up, also enjoyed camping with the family and had a love for frogs.

James has left behind his loving wife and his best friend of 48 years, Sherry Stout; daughters, Delanna Kiger and Jamie Stout; grandchildren, Misti Greene (husband Cody) and Bradley Norris (Brittney); great grandchildren, Dylan Lee Stevens, Cora Jae Greene, Lydia Nicole Norris, Grayson King Norris and Lillian Rae Lyons; brothers, Delbert Stout, Carl Stout, and Tom Stout; sisters, Lois Cooper, Nancy Goodman and Geneva Bradley. He Proceeded in death by his parents, James Sr and Hazel Stout; brother, Sherman Stout

The Family wants to thank all the Providers and Nurses that provided the best care for him through his journey and the hospice staff at Heart to Heart.

Services will be on Monday, September 28, 2026, at 1:00 pm at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home in Daleville with Pastor Larry Waters officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Tabor Cemetery.
