Jerry Wayne Dickey

September 16, 1946 — January 27, 2022

Jerry Wayne Dickey, 75, resident of Pendleton, passed away on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at St. Vincent's Regional Hospital in Anderson.  He was born on September 16, 1946 in Gary, IN a son of the late Robert and Gracie (Little) Dickey.

Jerry was a graduate of Thomas Edison High School in Lake Station, Indiana and worked for many years at Garyworks Steel Company in Gary Indiana.  He also was an Industrial electrician for General Motors at Delco Remy in Anderson. Jerry was a member of the UAW Local 662 of Anderson.

Jerry collected model train, airplane and antique shotgun.  He coached Little League and Babe Ruth baseball for several years.  He loved his Beagle hounds which he used for rabbit hunting and just the love that they gave.

Survivors are his wife of over 55 years, Lois Ann (Irby) of Pendleton; 2 sons, Jerry Douglas Dickey (Fiance', Deborah Vespo) of Andeson and Robert Howard Dickey (MaryLynn) of Anderson; 1 grandchild, Kiley Dickey (Friend Joseph) of Muncie.

In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by, a brother, Larry Dickey and 1 son, Michael Allen Dickey.

A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown.  Friends may call one hour before the service.
