Jerry Lee Strange

Jerry Lee Strange, 48, of Daleville passed away on Tuesday August 1, 2023. He was born on December 8, 1974 in Bloomington, IL to Erven Parro and Rita (Reed) Strange.

A 1993 graduate of Daleville High School Jerry served in the United States Marine Corps from 1993 until 1997 in the 1st Marine Division, Infantry Division, Tow gunner. A self-proclaimed MacGyver Jerry ran E & J Strange Construction doing general contracting for many years. He loved teaching his boys about construction and how to work on cars. Jerry enjoyed the outdoors, camping, fishing, boating, hunting, gardening, riding ATV’s and motorcycles. Spending time outdoors playing with the boys and their friends meant so much to Jerry. He was a hard-working dedicated man who loved his family. Jerry had a deep devotion and love for his older brother Erven Parro Strange Jr. Jerry also held a 2nd Kyu Brown Belt in Mixed Martial Arts through Websters.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Natasha Strange; sons, Jordon Strange and Konnor Strange; parents, Erven Parro Strange Sr. and Rita Strange; brother, Erven Parro Strange Jr.; sister, Starla Major along with several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his uncle, Tim Reed and cousins, Ashley Reed and Paula M. Kennedy.

Services will be Saturday August 12, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home in Daleville. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until the time of the service. Burial will take place at Saunders Cemetery at a later date.
