Joni Sue Mudgett

Joni Sue (Jones) Mudgett, 60, resident of Muncie, passed away on June 22, 2022 at IU Health in Muncie from injuries sustained in a car accident. She was born in Muncie, on November 3, 1961 the daughter of John and Nondus Jones.
Joni was a 1981 graduate of Shenandoah High School and had been a homemaker much of her life. She loved to play board games and planted many gardens. She made candy and canned vegetables.
Joni graduated from Jewelry School in Paris, Texas and repaired Jewelry for many years. She loved spending time with her grandson Bain. She loved wildlife and animals of all kinds.
Joni is survived by her husband Warren of nearly 16 years; children, Casey (Schuyler Chadsey) Lantry and Brian Lantry; one sister, Lisa (Mike) Pratt; and a grandson, Bain.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at 4:00 PM at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown. Friends may gather at 3:00 PM for a time of reflection and sharing. Memorials may be made to ARF, 1209 Riggin Road, Muncie, IN 47303.
