Middletown

Judy Ann Hall, 85, of Middletown, was welcomed into the loving arms of her awaiting husband and the Good Lord she loved so dearly, on September 4, 2026. She was born on June 26, 1941, to the late Dingus and Lilly (Hopkins) Shepherd.

Judy lived a life marked by warmth, kindness, and love for the simple joys around her. She was happy, outgoing, friendly, and loving, and she brought that spirit into the lives of those who knew her. Her life started in Portsmouth, OH, where she attended West Portsmouth Schools. In her adult years, she was a homemaker, and devoted herself to the care of her home and her family. At times she even took in others who maybe weren’t her family but still cared for them and raised them like her own.

Judy loved being outdoors, especially working in her yard and gardening. She also enjoyed traveling and treasured the times she was able to do so. Some of her favorite memories were trips to the ocean with her sisters, including visits to Myrtle Beach and with her grandchildren in Jamaica. She enjoyed listening to Christian music, attended services at the First Baptist Church in Middletown, and found happiness in shopping. Judy also loved animals and cared for many kinds of pets over the years.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Diana (Curtis) Songer, Timothy Hall, Georgia Lohrey, Tammy Sanders, and Kimberly Hall; 14 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; and sisters, Kathie Galloway and Joyice Shepherd Perry.

In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her loving husband, George Hall; siblings, Danny Shepherd and Irene Chapman; grandchildren, Ashlee Martin and Bradley Sanders; and great grandchild, Emily Toffolo.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Burial will take place at Green Hills Memory Gardens in New Castle. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Judy’s honor to ARF Animal Rescue at 1209 W. Riggin Rd. Muncie, IN 47303.
