Julie Mariam Peavler

July 25, 1962 — October 15, 2024

Julie Mariam (Hewitt) Peavler, 62 of Middletown, IN. & Jacksonville, IL. passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at Passavant Hospital. She spent her final days in comfort care with her son Adam & her partner John Dawson at her bedside.

Julie was a 1981 graduate of Shenandoah High School in Middletown, IN. and after working for over 20 years as a Home Maker, Julie enrolled at MacMurray College and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology in May 2010. Julie loved spending her days crafting, gardening or planting flowers, but her favorite times were the years spent as a devoted mom!

Survivors include her two sons Adam (Vanniza) Peavler of Middletown, IN. & Jared Peavler of Middletown, IN., her partner John Dawson of Jacksonville, IL., grandchildren Natalie, Adam Nathaniel, Matthew & Rubee Peavler and her most loving companion Girdie (A Chiweenie) she fretted over till the end.
Julie was preceded in death by her parents Doris Mariam Wiggins & Benjamin Harrison Hewitt, a sister Kimberly (Hewitt) Lacey & the father of her children Keith Allen Peavler.

Julie was cremated by Ballard & Sons funeral home in Middletown and according to her wishes, a private memorial service will be held on the former campus of MacMurray College where Julie helped inspire many young people to never give up on their dreams. Her ashes will be interned near family at Miller Cemetery in Middletown.

Julie was a lifelong animal lover and in lieu of flowers would ask that you honor her memory by donating to your local animal shelter.
