Larry Joe Stevenson

Larry Joe Stevenson, 83, of Anderson, Indiana, transitioned peacefully on Thursday, April 23, 2026, with his loving wife by his side. He was born on April 11, 1943, in Anderson, to the late Cleatis “Pete” and Vivian (Woods) Stevenson.

Larry is a 1961 graduate of Daleville High School, where he enjoyed playing baseball and basketball. Larry worked for 37 years at Delco Remy, specifically at Plant 3. His hobbies included restoring tractors and planting large vegetable gardens that would feed the entire neighborhood.

Larry is survived by his loving wife Linda Stevenson. Larry and Linda would’ve celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary this July.

“You will forever be my always”.

In addition to his wife, Larry is survived by his daughter, Tina Stevenson; granddaughter, Samantha (Reginald) Powell; grandson, Matthew Parkhurst; great granddaughters, Isabella Powell, Roselyn Powell, Amelia Powell, and Natalie Powell; and several nieces and nephews.

Larry was proceeded in death by his father, Cleatis “Pete” Stevenson; mother, Vivian (Woods) Stevenson; daughter, Sherri Stevenson; and brothers, Jim Stevenson, Jack Stevenson, and Dick Stevenson.

Death leaves a heartache no one can heal; love leaves memories no one can steal. Larry’s memory will be cherished by all who knew him.
