Linda Shock

September 11, 1952 - April 28, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Linda Shock, a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend.

Born in Anderson, Indiana. Linda lived a life marked by kindness, care, and quiet strength. A devoted homemaker, she found joy in looking after others and took pride in her role as a caregiver. Her love for healthcare and helping people shaped much of her life, and she brought warmth and compassion to all she met.

She adored her family and treasured time with her many nieces and nephews. Linda’s home was always filled with the scent of fresh baking, laughter shared over shopping trips, the soft purring of the cats she loved so dearly, and yarn from crocheting gifts for the holidays. She found great joy in the company of her close friends, especially her dear companions Barbie and Tona, and her cherished community at Fairfield.

Linda was preceded in death by her loving husband, Dennis Shock; her sisters Nancy Jones and Ellen Wright; and her father, Richard Howard Jones. She is survived by her mother Lois Jones; her brothers Wayne Jones and David Jones; her nephew Michael Jones; her niece Theresa Bliss; and many other beloved nieces, nephews, and friends who will carry her memory in their hearts.

Linda’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her, for her gentle strength, her loyalty, and her ability to make any place feel like home.

A memorial service to celebrate Linda’s life will be held on Tuesday, May 13th, at 2:00 PM, at Eastview Nazarene Church.

“What we once enjoyed and deeply loved we can never lose, for all that we love deeply becomes a part of us.” — Helen Keller
