Nannie Jane (Noble) Klecka of Safety Harbor, Florida passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at Mease Countryside Hospital in Safety Harbor. She was 76 years old. The daughter of Bedford and Elsie (Shelton) Noble was born on July 9, 1947 in War Creek, Kentucky.
Born in Kentucky, Nannie was the oldest of 8 children. As the oldest, she quickly assumed the role of not just “the big sister” but almost a motherly role to her younger siblings. She loved her family dearly! Nannie took care of everyone and worried about everyone except herself!
She attended and graduated Middletown High School in Middletown, IN. Nannie fell in love with her high school sweetheart, David Shuck. The two were married and had two children together, Kimberly and Bradley.
She began her career at General Motors in Three Rivers, Michigan. After leaving General Motors, Nannie moved down to Florida. Once in Florida, Nannie worked as a waitress and bartender. She loved to cook and get to know people, so she genuinely enjoyed working as a waitress! Nannie worked at J.R.’s Bar where she met, fell in love with, and married James Klecka.
She enjoyed music and bowling in local leagues. Above all, she loved spending time with her family as often as possible, typically gathering around the dining room table playing cards while sipping on a Bloody Mary or glass of wine with a Tampa Bay Rays baseball game in the background.
You would never know that Nannie was going through challenges in life because she continued to focus on taking care of everyone else like she’d always done; but Nannie struggled with Crohn’s Disease most of her life, developed COPD, and battled lung cancer for the last year and a half of her life. She never gave up and fought against all of the challenges she encountered!
Nannie always loved butterflies and considered them to be a sign from her loved ones in Heaven and now Nannie has her wings as well.
She will be dearly missed by her husband, James Klecka; children, Kimberly (Shuck) Komosinski of Fort Wayne, IN, and Bradley “Brad” Shuck of Kingsland, GA; brother, James Noble; sisters, Wilma VanWinkle and Anna Fay Keel of Middletown, IN; grandchildren, Cheyney (Donovan) McJunkins, Eric Komosinski, and Marisa Komosinski; great-grandchildren, Wesley, Ezekiel, and Trace Komosinski; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents, Nannie will be reunited with her siblings, Norma Alfrey, Charles Noble, Hazel Heidemann, Pernia Pawlowski and Bedford Ray Noble.
Services will be held Saturday, May 25th at Ballard & Sons Funeral Home in Middletown, IN with visitation from 12:00 PM to 1:00PM followed by graveside service at Miller Cemetery in Middletown, IN.
Please join the family for a dinner at The American Legion in Middletown following the burial services.
In lieu of flowers, any memorial contributions can be made directly to the family in the name of Kimberly Komosinski for additional service expenses or to The American Cancer Society.
