Naomi Nell Reed

Feb 21, 1931 — Oct 24, 2026

Naomi Nell Reed, 95, passed away on October 24, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of memories and a family who will forever cherish her love, laughter, and the joy she brought to those around her.

Naomi shared 66 wonderful years of marriage with her husband, Earl Reed. Together, they built a life and family filled with love, laughter, and memories that will continue to live on through the generations.

Naomi dedicated several years of her life to serving as a special education bus driver for Wes-Del Community Schools. Through her work, she made a difference in the lives of children and families in her community.

In her free time, Naomi enjoyed sewing quilts, coloring, and, most of all, spending time with her family. Some of her favorite moments were spent playing Old Maid and Go Fish with her great-grandchildren, creating special memories they will carry with them for years to come.

Naomi was known for her wonderful sense of humor and her love of telling jokes. Whether she knew someone her entire life or had just met them, she was always ready to share a joke and bring a smile to their face. Her laughter and playful spirit were a special part of who she was, and those who knew her will remember her for the happiness she brought to others.

Family was at the heart of Naomi’s life. She leaves behind a loving family who will forever treasure the memories they shared with her. She is survived by her children, Eddie (Cindy) Reed, Carol (Fred) Hill, Nancy (Bruce) Scott, and Lynette (Walter) Carter; her grandchildren, Jason (Jamie) Scott, Ginger (Troy) Wanta, Jami (James) Wormer, Jeremy Scott, and Megan (Michael) Green; and her great-grandchildren, Taylor, Cheyenne, Courtney, Jared, Kevin, Desirae, Mary Ann, Jacob, and Jayden. She is also survived by her sister, Jane Eldridge; her sisters-in-law, Elaine Pence and Pat Reed; and her many special nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved dearly.

Naomi was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Earl Reed; her daughter, Jeanette; her parents, Noah and Robbie Pence; and her brothers, Norman, Robert, and Wayne.

At 95 years of age, Naomi leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and treasured family memories. Though she will be deeply missed, her spirit will live on through the stories shared, the quilts she made, the games she played with her great-grandchildren, and the countless smiles she brought to others. Her family will forever hold her close in their hearts and remember that, no matter the circumstances, there was always room for one more joke and one more reason to smile.
