Patsy Lou Dellinger, 73, of Plymouth and formerly of Middletown, passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2026. She was born on April 7, 1952, in Anderson, Indiana, fifteen minutes after her twin sister, Penny. Patsy was one of six children born to the late Loren and Mearle (Jenkins) Stanley.
Patsy was a quiet yet strong woman whose life centered around caring for others. She dearly loved children and shared a very special bond with her grandchild with special needs. Her kindness and compassionate spirit were evident in everything she did. Patsy was a giving Christian who was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. She was a former member of Good Shepherd Community Church.
Throughout her life, Patsy worked in many different places, she began by babysitting and mowing yards. She was then employed over the years at Wise’s Smorgasbord in Honey Creek, Crossroads Restaurant, Harvest Market in Middletown, Jones Market in Leesburg. Most importantly, she cherished her work with children as a preschool teacher at The Ark Preschool in Middletown and New Beginnings Preschool in Milford, where she touched many young lives with her gentle and caring nature.
Patsy is survived by her daughter, Amanda Mencias of Plymouth; six grandchildren, Gabriel, Crayden, Brylen and Adeline Mencias, Kayla Parker and Cassidy Dellinger; one great-granddaughter, Havyn Parker; siblings, Donna (Tony) Daniel of Leesburg, Joyce (Brad) Vaught of Middletown, Bob (Dawn) Stanley of Middletown; special friends, Carla Sue Reece and Maggie Smith; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, Patsy was preceded in death by her husband, Max D. Dellinger; twin sister, Penny Lohrey and sister, Barbara Stanley.
Services will be held at 12:00pm Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home in Middletown. Visitation will be from 10:00am until the time of service on Tuesday. You may express condolences or share memories of Patsy at www.ballardandsons.com.
