Penny Sue Farmer

Penny Sue Farmer, 76, of Middletown, passed away on September 7, 2026 at the Waters of Middletown. She was born on March 8, 1950, in Anderson, to the late Robert and Twilla (Hoover) Farmer.

Penny was raised in the Middletown area and later moved to Florida for many years, where she especially enjoyed going to the beach. She returned to Middletown for the last two years and while at the Waters, she enjoyed doing crafts.

Penny was known for her bubbly spirit and for the way she never met a stranger. She loved to have fun and laugh, and her warm personality made her easy to know and remember. She enjoyed simple pleasures that brought her happiness, including feeding squirrels at the park, smoking cigarettes, and playing cards.

Those left to cherish her memory include her cousins, John (Lisa) Moreland, Karla (Jeff) Fridley and family, Sheri Buston, and Cheryl Cottingham; and her special friends, Dean (Lynn) Davis.

In addition to her parents, Penny was preceded in death by her brother, Earl “Frankie” Farmer; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
