Phillip Mac Davis, 87, of Yorktown passed away on Friday, October 06, 2023. He was born February 27th, 1936 in Delaware County to the late Wilburn and Charlene (Bronnenberg) Davis.
Phillip is a 1954 graduate of Daleville High School. He is in the Delaware County Athletic Hall of Fame. Phillip was a part of the Delco Battery Sympathy Club. He spent 30 years devoting time to being a baseball player umpire and Track Starter. He was a part of the Muncie Relay for 30 years. Phillip loved racing and spent much time at Winchester and Anderson Speedway. He sold ads for Old Timers Sectional. Phillip was on the Daleville Fire Department for 18 years. He played on Delco Battery Team and they were state champs in 1965. Phil enjoyed the Pacers, he was a season ticket holder for 25 years. He is a member of the Muncie Elks 245.
Phillip leaves behind, to treasure his wife of 42 years Jerry Kay Davis, brother Don Davis of Daleville; 2 sisters Melanie Frischkorn (Walter) of Knox, IN. and Carmen Kelly of Naples Florida. One daughter Kelly Pajari of Albany, IN., 3 stepdaughters, Tricia Davis, Jana Flauding and Kristi Fuller. One Grand daughter Amanda Swoveland, 9 step-grandchildren Samantha, Gary, Lauren, Cody, Cailynn, Kaiden, Daisha, Keath, and Ceara; 3 great grandchildren, 8 step great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his grandson Bradley Pajari.
Graveside Services will be at 1:00 pm Tuesday, October 10th, 2023, at Bronnenberg Cemetery in Chesterfield, IN.
