Rebecca “Becky” Ann (Yost) Cook Blake, 82, of Anderson, entered the loving arms of Jesus on July 25, 2026, surrounded by family. She was born on September 8, 1943, the second daughter of the late Harold and Jayne (Bouslog) Yost.
Becky attended school in Sulphur Springs Indiana, graduating from Muncie Central High School in the class of 1962. Becky was employed with GM Delphi in Anderson, retiring September 1, 1999. Becky's greatest joy was watching her grandchildren grow into adults. She loved them with all her heart and was always their greatest fan. They affectionally referred to her as "Crazy Lady" because of her fun-loving nature and shenanigans. She took pride in her home by decorating the inside and keeping the outside looking great. She loved being outdoors enjoying the sun and nature until health challenges interfered. Becky especially loved people, no one was a stranger or exempt from a prank or two. Family and friends were usually pulled in to help with carrying them out. Becky built many lifetime friendships across her life. She loved her family and circle of friends fiercely.
Those left to cherish her memory are daughter, Jodean Cook Ayres; son-in-law, Tony Sanders; grandchildren, Doug (Shiona) Ayres, Jake Sanders, Kyle (Melissa) Ayres, Keith (Holly) Ayres, Kate (Chris) Choate and Derek (Kari) Ayres; fifteen great grandchildren and one great great grandson; nephews, Mike (Dee) Chambers and Scott (Missy) Chambers; niece, Penny (Jay) Hignite; and special friend, Joan Smith.
Becky was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Merrill (Bud) Cook; second husband, Charles (Tony) Blake; daughter, Gigi Cook Sanders; sister and brother-in-law, Cynthia and Jack Chambers; grandson, Aiden Ayres; niece, Lisa Chambers; and her precious poodle, Blake.
A special thanks to the staff of Northview Health & Living for their love and care during these past few months. Becky loved each member who cared for her and thought of them as her extended family.
Cremation will take place with Ballard and Sons Funeral Home. Burial will be at Miller Cemetery a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Ballad and Sons Funeral Home in Middletown.
