Sharon Medlock

June 1, 1943 — December 23, 2021

Sharon (Thomas) Medlock 78, resident of Anderson, passed away at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital on December 23, 2021.  She was born in Elwood, Indiana June 1, 1943.  Her parents were Herbert and Naomi Bassett Thomas.

She attended Anderson High School and Anderson College.  She had been a caregiver for over 20 years.

She had been a long time resident of Vermillion Place in Anderson. She was an avid reader and loved writing poetry.  She also loved playing bingo over the years and spending time with all her family.  One of her favorite things to ease her mind was to color beautiful pictures out of her many different coloring books. She was always so eager to show off all the hard work she had put into them.

Survivors are two daughters; Teresa (Noah) Hensley of Middletown and Julie Brown of Abbotsford, WI, 4 grandchildren; Cory Hensley (fiancé, Alyssa Robert of Gas City), Joseph Brown, Daniel Brown, and Amy Cruz, several great grandchildren.

Two step daughters; Kay McKissick (David Mundy) and Judy (Ronald) Rich of Noblesville, IN., their children John (Andrea)McKissick Charlestown, In, Jennifer (Scott) Pearson Anderson, In, Alicia (Chris) Jones Noblesville,

She was preceded in death by her husband Charles of 42 years and her parents.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at Grovelawn Cemetery in Pendleton.

Friends may call at the Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown on Wednesday from 12-1:30.

Memorials may be made to the funeral home in her honor for funeral expenses.
