Stephanie Jo Sallee, 59, of Muncie, Indiana, passed away following the devastating flooding in Delaware County.
Stephanie will be remembered most for her kind and compassionate heart. She had a special way of accepting people exactly as they were and never judging others. Despite the many trials she faced throughout her life, she persevered while remaining loving, caring, and deeply devoted to those around her.
Above all else, Stephanie loved her family. Her sister, nephews, step-father, step-children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren held an especially precious place in her heart. She also had an incredible love for animals, especially her beloved dog, Faith, who was by her side when they passed.
Stephanie's family will miss her more than words can express, but they will forever carry with them the love, compassion, and memories she leaves behind.
A Celebration of Two Beautiful Lives
Stephanie's family will hold a joint Celebration of Life for Stephanie and her mother, Lanna J. Johnson, who passed away on February 18, 2026.
Lanna and Stephanie shared an extraordinary love for their family and their dogs. Their lives were filled with love for the people and animals who meant the most to them, and it is fitting that their family will come together to celebrate and remember them side by side.
The Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, September 27, from 1:00–4:00 p.m. at the Daleville Legion.
In honor of Stephanie and Lanna, the family asks those attending to wear pink as we gather to remember two deeply loved women who will be forever missed and never forgotten.
As avid animal lovers, Stephanie and Lanna request any and all donations go to the Muncie ARF.
