Sue Ann Bertram

Sue Ann Bertram, 73, of Daleville, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at Community Hospital in Anderson. She was born on July 2, 1952, in New Castle, IN, to the late Carl Graddy and Mary Ann (John) Scothorn.

Sue Ann was a graduate of Shenandoah High School, and she was dedicated to helping others as a CMA, touching countless lives with her kindness and compassion. She was known by all as one of the most compassionate, caring, generous, and sweet souls you could ever meet, always offering the warmest hugs and the softest touch. She was the most lovable person anyone could meet.

She adored her family and found immense joy in being a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She also shared a special bond with her beloved dogs, who were constant companions by her side and were one of her greatest joys, second only to her great grandchildren. Her gentle spirit and selfless love will deeply be missed by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and all who knew her. Though our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in knowing her kindness and love will continue to live on in the lives she touched.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 25 years, Danny “Vic” Bertram; daughters, Amy Bilbrey and Angela Smith; stepchildren, Deke (Julie) Bertram and Dawn Self; grandchildren, Devin (Rachel) Bilbrey, Josh (Destiny) Smith, Tanisha Smith, Landon Bilbrey (Autumn), Paige Smith (Chris), Sierra Bilbrey; 13 great grandchildren; sisters, Mary Alice Childers and Dixie (Mark) Sturgeon; sister-in-law, Lyla Graddy; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Steven Graddy; granddaughter, Cherish Bilbrey; great grandson, Zayden Smith; and brother-in-law, Rick Childers.
