Thomas "Tom" Fox Jr.

November 25, 1945 — May 22, 2026

Anderson

Thomas Irvin Fox, Jr. of Anderson, Indiana, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, May 22, 2026. His last days were spent in the presence of family who loved him dearly. Tom was born on November 25, 1945, in Fostoria, OH, and grew up on the family farm in Arcadia with his father, Irvin, and step-mother, Betty Lorah. He was a graduate of Arcadia High School in 1964, and then served in the United States Marine Corps for 3 years (February 1966 to December 1968). He married his wife of 46 years, Sandra Marie Fox, on June 26, 1973. Tom built a career in computer technology, working primarily as a systems analyst for Home Federal Bank in Knoxville, TN.

Anyone who knows Tom would know this about him—he was a man committed to Christ above all. He loved and served others so well, because he wanted to display the good news of Jesus to others in every part of his life. He was kind and compassionate toward others; always acknowledging people with a smile and attentive to listen to what was happening in their lives. He was extraordinarily generous; willing to go above and beyond what was needed to help in any way. He loved his family; doing whatever it takes to be present and part of their lives. He was passionate about his heritage in Ohio; which included being an avid fan of the Buckeyes and Browns, along with being a collector of all things John Deer. And everyone knows Tom loved to drive. This included travelling to senior olympics events in multiple states, and to gatherings of family, friends, class reunions, and even annual retirement dinners. He was committed to the body of Christ everywhere he lived, including Tabor Church in Muncie, IN.

Tom was preceded in death by his father, step-mother, half-sister Judy (Dennis) Bowling, and his wife Sandra.

He is survived by his 3 sons, Brian (Yelena) Stock; Bruce (Traci) Stock; Brad (Alicia) Fox; 11 grandchildren, (Nicole & Natalie Stock; Matt, Alex, Nick, Macy Stock; Tristan, Evelyn, Kambria, Nilsa, Leyton Fox); Half-sister Susan Sherman; Niece Misty (Chad) Ramirez and her daughter Rainy.
