Tyler Augustine Comer

Tyler Augustine Comer, 27, of Muncie passed away Sunday, July 26, 2026. He was born December 6, 1998 in Pensacola, Florida to Stacey Comer and Starla (Strange) Brown.

Tyler was employed at Element Resources in Muncie and was a devoted father. 

There is a lot I want to say but I can’t stop and think what Tyler would want me to say. I’ll never hear his voice again. Not a mama, you’re my best friend, I love you, him checking on me, not even a hug. Everything stopped on 7/26/26. You will be missed greatly! -Love mama

Ty was an amazing great kid. We seemed to click together. We had our bad days and one real bad day, but we shook hands, kissed and made up. He was always doing funny stuff to make us all laugh. He loved his kids more than life itself. I’m going to miss his crazy ass like crazy! I loved him like one of my own. I probably didn’t show it because I was raised to just be silent and provide, but I want everyone who is a part of me to know that I do love you all and I know I’m a huge ass hole. lol - Charlie

My brother was one of the most important people in my life. Even though we had different dads, that never changed how close we were. He called me all the time—sometimes ten times a day—and we could talk for hours about anything. I always knew he had my back and would be there for me. He was so funny, kind, and could always make me laugh even on hard days. I’ll always be grateful for every call, every talk, and every memory we shared. I love him so much and I’m going to miss him every day. I was really lucky to have him as my brother, and I’ll never forget our bond. -Elysa

Dear brother, today I think about the man you were and how you impacted my life. Thank you for learning the many lessons of life by my side in my younger years and I’m sorry we grew apart. It feels as if as soon as our life’s were realigning god had another plan for you. You were a great father and even better brother. He is survived by his children, Malachi (age 5), Ella (age 3), and Silas (age 1); mother, Starla (Charlie) Brown; father, Stacey (Renee) Comer; siblings, Austin Feldhausen, Camryn Comer, Elysa Major and Damien Brown; mother of his children, Kaitlyn Bass; maternal grandparents, Rita (Parro) Strange; nephew, Jaylen; great aunts, Brenda and Margaret; cousins, Brandan and Josie Dunning, Sonya, Tony, Jordan and Konnor Strange, Zaiden Morrow; several other aunts, uncles great aunts, uncles and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his stepfather, Ted Major and an uncle, Jerry Strange.

Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 30, 2026 at Ballard & Sons Funeral Home in Daleville. Burial will follow at Saunders Cemetery.
