Veronise Joy Campbell, 72, of Daleville passed away on Monday, September 29, 2025, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born on April 15, 1953, in Muncie to the late Robert and Marjorie (Martt) Sloan.

A 1971 graduate of Muncie South Side Joy attended Ball State University for a year after high school. Her greatest joy in life was her family and friends. Joy’s career revolved around volunteering in every capacity; she truly had a servant’s heart. She was famous for her chocolate chip cookies and her unwavering Faith for Christ her Savior.

Joy is survived by her husband of 46 years, David Campbell; children, Gabriel Campbell, Travis Campbell and Kylie (Kyle) DeVault; grandchildren, Chase (Brandi) Taylor, Callin (Tyler) Tipton, Brodie Campbell, Quin DeVault, Wyatt Campbell, Graycen DeVault and Barrett DeVault; brother, Tom (Kathy) Sloan; and an ever-growing number of great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Joy is preceded in death by a brother, Robert Sloan.

Visitation will be on Saturday, October 4th, 2025, at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home in Daleville from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm. A private family burial will take place at Garden of Memories in Muncie. You may share a memory or express a condolence for Joy at www.ballardandsons.com.
