William Arthur Fredenburg, 91, of Middletown passed away on Wednesday May 20, 2026, at Middletown Nursing and Rehab. He was born on August 26, 1934, in New Castle to the late Arthur and Hazel (Beasley) Fredenburg.
Bill was a proud 1952 graduate of Cadiz High School. He served in the United States Navy Reserve during the Korean War. Bill worked as a inspector at Delco Remy and retired after 33 years of service.
He enjoyed being outdoors working in the garden, fishing down in Arkansas and wood working. Bill loved listening to music and baling hay. He spent many years volunteering at the Middletown Food Pantry. Bill was also a long-time member of 6th Street Christian Church.
He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Mary Kay Fredenburg; children, Debbie (Rick) Fletcher of Livingston, TN, Judy (Joe) Baker of Pigeon Forge, TN, Larry (Susan) Fredenburg of Middletown and Dick (Rose) Fredenburg of Middletown; grandchildren, Amanda (Mike), Tamara (Randell), Chris (Amber), Kathrine, Kyle (Claire) Travis (Courtney), Trent (Karen), Tyler (Natalie), Joshua (Brooke) and Jennifer (Jeremy); several great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; sister-in-law, Reba Haynes.
In addition to his parents Bill is preceded in death by a sister, Corrine Stokes.
A private graveside service will take place at Miller Cemetery.
