Obituary

Harry Buss, Jr. 87, resident of Muncie passed away at Ball Memorial Hospital on Monday, July 12.  He was born July 14, 1933 to Harry and Bernice Buss.  He Graduated in 1951 from Middletown High School and retired from Delco Remy. He grew up in Middletown and after retirement he and Carolyn moved to Monterey, Tennessee before moving back to Muncie.

 

Harry served 18 years with the Middletown Vol. Fire Dept he was also a part of the Monterrey Tennessee Volunteer Fire Department; was the band booster president for Shenandoah High School Marching Raider Band in the 70’s.

 

Preceding Harry’s death was his wife Carolyn, sisters Mary Jane Dresser and Lena M. Real.

 

He is survived by his daughter Kim Hurst (Allen), son Mark Buss (Karen) both of Muncie; 1 grandchild Anthony Hurst (Kamila) of Muncie, 1 great grand daughter Reagan Hurst of Muncie; 4 step grandchildren Holly Brown (James) of Muncie, Tim Green (Amanda) of Anderson, Joseph Green (Kendra Campbell) and Kate Green of Muncie( Zach Leonard), 3 step great grandchildren Zachary Brown, Zane Brown, and Gabe Leonard of Muncie; several nieces and nephews.

 

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday July 18th at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 S 5th Street, Middletown IN 47356. Marty Ballard will be officiating.  Friends and family may call from 2-4 pm at the funeral home. The service will follow visitation at 4 pm.

 

Memorials may be sent to the Middletown Volunteer Fire Department.
