She attended Daleville Community Schools and was a graduate of Daleville Senior High School. She professed her faith in Jesus Christ at an early age and was a dedicated member of Crossroads Community Church of Fishers, and was a member of several life groups.
She married the love of her life, Don Gilliland on February 26, 1983. That union was blessed with two sons, Grant and Aaron.
Marilyn was employed by Noblesville Schools as a Bus Driver for over 25 years. It was a job that she loved and she had looked forward to having both of her granddaughters on her route during the upcoming school year.
Marilyn enjoyed many hobbies, as young girl she loved spending time with her horses. In later years, you could find her working in her garden, cheering for her favorite sports teams, but most of all she valued time with her family, especially her grandchildren, who affectionately called her GiGi.
Marilyn’s gentle nature, and pleasant spirit has resulted in her being loved by so many. She leaves behind a legacy
that will forever remain in the hearts of all who loved her. She quietly departed this life Sunday June 13th at home, and she was preceded in death by her father, James, mother Mary, sister Judy and granddaughter Ashtyn.
